Welcome to my blog! I’m going to take a closer look at Spain and its recent experiences in the Eurovision Song Contest. I chose Spain because of its culture, strong musical identity, and long history with Eurovision. I’ll explore Spain’s recent entries and performances, and see how Spanish culture and language appear on the Eurovision stage.

I’m still learning about Eurovision, which is part of what makes this project entertaining. As I go, I’ll share what I discover about Spain’s artists, songs, and results. I’ll also reflect on how music shapes national identity. This blog will be my place to track what I learn about Spain, Eurovision, and how they fit into today’s European culture.

Zor r a  –  Nebulossa                       Spain chose to send Nebulosi's song  " Zor r a "  to the Eurovision Song Contest. In Spanish,  ' zor r a '  roughly means  'bitch' or 'slut.' This was a bold and intentional move, clearly meant to provoke and make a political statement.
